In her role as Marketing and Communications Manager, Lilliana oversees development and implementation of a global multi-platform strategy to support branding and awareness of Apple Leisure Group’s unique business model and advantages. Lilliana spear-headed the project to design and launch ALG Development’s website (English and Spanish), oversees our public relations agency efforts and leads ongoing creation of communication materials and initiatives targeting resort owners, developers and investors.
Prior to joining Apple Leisure Group, Lilliana worked for AMResorts where she was responsible for strengthening and expanding the company’s presence in the Mexican market, developing the annual marketing plan for the direct channel and overseeing the in-market agency and consumer websites. Lilliana also participated in the websites translation and performed as project manager for the RFP to redesign the travel agent website (AMRagents.com) and Master Agent online education program.
Lilliana spent the last five years of her career in Mexico conducting trade and public relations for several US and Canadian tourism offices. During this time, Lilliana led the Colorado Tourism Office’s national campaign to position the state as a summer destination for Mexican travelers, established strong marketing partnerships with key tour operators, led product development, travel agent training and integrated commercial strategy. Lilliana’s approach to public and media relations increased in 30% the total media value generated YOY and generated unprecedented coverage by leading travel, lifestyle and leisure media such as the Latin American editions of National Geographic Traveler, Travel + Leisure and Glamour, Travesías magazine, Reforma newspaper and Aeroméxico, Mexicana, Volaris, Interjet and LanChile in-flight magazines.
Thanks to her journalism background and seasoned understanding of the marketing, communications and editorial fields, Lilliana was invited to participate in the full redesign of four magazines, drafted concept, structure and commercial strategy for diverse editorial products (digital / print) and sat on the Editorial Board of two leading travel publications in Mexico.
